These are real questions from owners of trades and home-service businesses, answered the way we'd answer them on the phone. The answers above are the short versions. Below, we expand on the four topics that decide most hiring decisions: money, commitment, ownership and proof.
Frequently asked questions
What does Kitchener.Marketing cost?
Growth costs $1,999 monthly, or $1,499 a month billed annually, and the scale runs up to Elite at $3,999 and Enterprise at $7,999 a month. Kitchener clients add 13% HST. Ad spend is separate.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No. You can walk away on 30 days' notice at any point. Paying annually is a choice some owners make for the lower monthly figure, never a condition.
How soon will I see more calls?
Search ads can bring calls within the first couple of weeks. Map-listing and website improvements usually show results over three to six months. We tell you which to expect before you start.
We tried an agency before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?
Usually the old agency reported clicks and rankings, not calls and jobs, and nobody set a maximum cost per lead. We start with your numbers, agree a ceiling in writing, track every call and cut what doesn't pay. If it isn't working, you can leave on 30 days' notice.
Who owns my website, Google Business Profile and ad accounts?
You do, always. They're set up in your business's name, you hold the logins, and if you leave they stay with you.
Can you promise first place on Google?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Local results change with the searcher's location, and nobody controls Google. We promise honest work and honest reporting.
Are you a contractor?
No. We are a marketing and business consulting service. We don't install, repair or service anything, and we never compete with you for jobs.
Do you sell leads to several companies at once?
No. Everything we generate goes to your business only. We are not a lead marketplace.
Which trades do you work with in Kitchener?
Most home-service businesses: plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling, roofing, windows and doors, renovation, landscaping, snow clearing, cleaning, painting, pest control and more.
What do you report each month?
Calls and messages, the sources they came from, cost per lead against your ceiling, booked jobs where your office logs them, and what we plan to change next month. In plain language, on a page or two.
Are your case studies from Kitchener?
No. Our published case studies are results from our HVAC work, named and linked, such as Roma Heating & Cooling's 400% organic traffic growth in 12 months. We don't invent local case studies.
Do you work with businesses in Waterloo, Cambridge or the townships?
Yes, when a good share of their work is in Kitchener. Many crews in the region cross municipal lines daily, and we plan coverage around where your trucks really go.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. Eligible trades businesses get a free 30-minute first consultation with no obligation, separate from the paid plans.
Money: what you pay and what you get back
The plan fee covers our work; ad spend goes straight to the platform; 13% HST applies to the fee. That's the whole bill.
The more useful question is what a lead is worth to you. If your average Kitchener job is $800, you close half your quotes and your margin is 40%, each enquiry is worth about $160 in margin. Any channel producing enquiries well below that is earning money. We work this out with you before anything starts. Plan details are on the pricing page.
Commitment: why there's no lock-in
Month-to-month plans keep us honest. If the work isn't paying, you can stop with 30 days' notice. Annual billing exists for owners who want the lower rate and are confident in the plan, but it's never required.
We also don't recommend long campaigns before testing. A new service or a new area gets a fair trial with a clear budget, and only what works is scaled up.
Ownership: your accounts, your data
Everything we build or set up is yours: domain, website, Google Business Profile, ad accounts, call-tracking numbers and reports. We work inside your accounts with access you grant, and you can remove that access at any time.
This matters because many Kitchener owners we talk to have been through the opposite: an old provider who registered the domain in their own name or won't hand over the ad account. If that's happened to you, tell us early and we'll help you recover what you can.
Proof: what we can show you
We show real, named results from our HVAC work, each linked to the live website, on the results page. We don't publish client quotes, invented reviews or local case studies we can't back up.
What we can show you about your own business is more useful anyway: in the first consultation, we'll look at your map listing, website and competitors in the Kitchener communities you serve, and tell you what we'd change first.
Timeline: what the first 90 days usually look like
Expect setup in the first month, early signals in the second and a fair verdict by the end of the third.
- Month one: we agree your cost-per-lead ceiling, fix tracking, correct the map listing and repair the worst website problems. If ads are part of the plan, they launch late in the month.
- Month two: reviews and job photos start flowing, ad search terms get cleaned up, and the first service or area pages go live.
- Month three: we compare calls and booked jobs against the numbers from before we started, and decide together what to scale, change or drop.
Map-listing and content work keeps building after that. A Kitchener business that starts in January is usually far better placed for its spring rush than one that starts in April.
If an agency has burned you before
Tell us what happened; it shapes the first month. The usual story is a long contract, reports full of impressions, a website the owner doesn't control and no one who can say which calls came from the spend.
We start by getting your accounts back into your name where possible, setting up honest call tracking and writing down the ceiling. From then on, the monthly report answers one question in plain language: did the marketing produce jobs worth more than it cost?
